In the past couple of years the idea of changing a bride’s makeup and hair from a daytime look to a night time look has really taken off!

It does takes a little bit of thoughtful planning to change your bridal makeup and hair from day to night so that you aren’t spending all your time away from your new husband and all your wedding guests!  Let’s face it…you waited a long time for this day to come and you should be enjoying yourself not locked up in a room for hours with a makeup and hair artist creating a new evening look. Today I’ll show 3 examples of how you can go from day to night with your hair and makeup and do it all in under an hour!

The image on the left is a perfect daytime look for any bride.  The makeup is light and fresh with a subtle bronze glow.  Her hair is vintage in style and swept over to the one side.  The image on the right shows how you can turn that look into a sexy evening bridal look quickly.  The hair is more beach wavy yet still parted on the same side and easy to obtain by brushing out the vintage waves and using a little styling product to help relax the curl.  The makeup on the right is a little more defined with a bold black liner on/under the lid and more structured contouring to the face.  The lips in both cases has been kept neutral and subtle so that the eyes and the skin are in the spotlight.

Here’s a great example of wearing your hair down during the day and then putting it up in the evening giving you a more sophisticated look.  The lip is kept bold throughout the entire day and darken up for the evening. The daytime makeup look is much more subtle and clean with a pop of colour on the lips while the evening look is all about the smokey eye and dark lip.  So sexy!

Like the idea of having your down all day but want a little something extra for your evening look?  Well, here’s a great example of just that!  Although the differences are subtle, the evening hairstyle includes more defined curls.  Makeup wise the daytime look is fresh and pretty while the eyes and cheeks have added drama for the evening look.
